Angiography is a diagnostic imaging method that uses X-rays. Currently, angiography can also be performed using MRI and CT scans, but in vascular angiography, a thin tube known as a catheter is mainly used. Angiography is used to examine the blood vessels of the kidneys, organs, brain, heart, lungs, and digestive system.
