Angiography is a diagnostic imaging technique that uses X-rays. It can also be performed using MRI and CT scans; however, in vascular angiography, a thin tube called a catheter is most commonly used. Angiography is employed to examine the blood vessels of the kidneys, limbs, brain, heart, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract.
