A Scalp Vein Set, also known as a butterfly needle, is commonly used for intravenous drug administration and is typically inserted at a 15° angle. These sets come in various gauges to suit different applications and age groups, with smaller gauge needles generally used for younger patients. The hub and connector are color-coded to indicate the needle gauge.
